Ultralight and Rugged.

Tipping the scales at just over 1 kg, the Power Lizard Ultralight Tent is the perfect 3 season companion for serious trekkers on the go. Tight for 2 and perfect for 1, this storm-proof double-wall tent is quick and easy to set up and quick and easy to pack up.

Vaude elected a tunnel design for this product; long, low and relatively narrow. Unfortunately, in minimizing weight and materials used in the manufacture of tents, space is often sacrificed. While listed as two person tent, I wouldn’t share this tent with someone that I wasn’t intimate with…it is that tight. That having been said, this tent is ideal for one with plenty of room for packs and gear.

Features

This tent utilizes a tunnel design with a very light single-arch construction and includes 1 entrance, a vestibule for cooking and smelly shoes and mesh windows and vents for superior air circulation.

Vaude’s Powerframe Ultralight tents represent a fusion of all of the company’s most innovative and groundbreaking technologies. It is their Powerfame technology that makes these tents stand strong even through severe winds while remaining as light as a feather. In addition, the material has exceptional water beading properties as well high UV resistance.

The traverse pole and two end poles that provide the skeleton of the tent are very light and strong. The pegs appear startlingly small; however, they somehow manage to keep the tent planted firmly even through the worst winds.

Pitching and Packing

Pitching and packing the Power Lizard Ultralight are about as easy as it gets. The poles are connected externally with clips so you really can’t go wrong when it comes to pitching. Packing is just as simple, especially if you keep the inner and outer clipped together and stuff them together in the tent’s sack.

When stored in its sack, the Power Lizard Ultralight Tent is just 35 cm x 10 cm.

Conclusion

The rugged and durable tunnel design of this compact, lightweight tent makes it perfect for trekking, backpacking and even adventure racing.
