Startling stability.

ASICS has been banging out iterations of their Kayano line of running shoes for an amazing 20 years. In the Kayano 20, ASICS has achieved a perfect harmony of stability and comfort in a lightweight shell.

I am a huge fan of ASICS running shoes and have owned a variety of different models over the years. These were the first pair in their Kayano line that I had the pleasure of trying and I was really impressed. The uppers, while comfort and light, offer a great deal of support and the soles are both comfortable and responsive. These shoes are perfect for heavy runners and others that require enhanced support and cushioning in their shoes. I actually just recommended them to a buddy of mine. He used to run regularly has long since “strayed from the path” and put on a couple of extra pounds.

The Uppers

The phenomenal support in the uppers of this sneaker comes from ASICS’s FluidFit technlogy. The material is a synthetic stretch mesh with special reinforcement provided across the lateral and medial sides. The comfort in the uppers comes from their incredible ComforDru sockliners which are just simply…comfy.

The Sole and Midsole

ASICS has utilized a variety of different technologies in the development of the soles of the Kayano…well, let’s just leave it at that. The result of all of these technologies is a very stable and comfortable run.

The ASICS Gel Kayano 20 is available in 5 different colors and they’re a pretty nice looking shoe overall. If you are in the market for a very comfortable shoe that offers incredible support and stability than I highly recommend that you give these running shoes a spin.
