The North Face Freedom Insulated Pant
Summary: Very rugged snow pants perfect for all winter sports. Insulated to keep you warm with great ventilation to ensure that you don't get too warm.
Insulated and Ventilated
Stylish yet simple, function and extremely comfortable, The North Face Freedom Insulated Pant will keep you feeling right even in the harshest conditions.
The North Face Freedom Insulated Pant is a rugged, hardcore insulated pant that will keep you both warm and comfortable regardless of the temperature or the winter activity you are enjoying. The shell of the pant utilizes The North Face’s HyVent 2-Layer technology, a double construction making the pants both waterproof and breathable under even the most extreme conditions. The outer layer is double woven and is both tough and water repellent and the inner-layer uses a combination of micro-pores and a polyurethane coating to help channel water vapor to, and eventually out of, the outer layer. The pant also has 60 g of Heatseeker insulation which helps to keep your bottom half warm even when things get really cold.
The Freedom Insulated Pant has a very relaxed fit and includes adjustable waist tabs for the adjustable waistline. Although these pants are insulated and excellent in cold weather, the Chimney Venting system and interior thigh vents helps to regulate the interior temperature of the pants so things don’t get too hot in there. The pants also feature a Velcro cargo pocket as well as two handwarmer zip pockets which are great for warming up your hands in the event that your gloves have fallen off.
At just above 1 pound and 4 ounces, these are very light for insulated snow pants. The reviews for these pants have been quite stellar. The only issue that I did encounter; however, is that all of the venting means that the pants are a little cool at first but they warm up once you start moving.
- Waterproof and breathable
- Cool at first because of great ventilation
