Summary: Phenomenal cushioned running socks from the innovators of the sport-specific sock.

Cushioned Comfort

Simply put, these are the ultimate in padded running socks. The cushion in the heal offers incredible protection against shock while the padding in the arch offers enhanced support.

My stepfather turned me on to Thorlo cushioned socks back in the mid-eighties. It’s not so much that he turned me on to them than it is that I lifted a couple of pairs of his out of the laundry. I actually run barefoot but did take them for a spin a couple of times and I was totally amazed. The cushioning in the heel and arch both absorb shock and make for a snugger fit. While I do not run in them, I do wear them casually when I’m walking about. The thing is, I still have the same Thorlos that I “liberated” from my stepfather all those years ago and they are still as elastic and cushioned as they ever were. These socks are durable on a level that can only be described as “epic.”

The key to these running socks is the special THOR LON acrylic material from which they are made. THOR LON is extremely breathable and wicks the perspiration away from your feet to help keep them dry. Extra THOR LON is added to the heel and arch for protection against shock, support and support.

Thorlo Unisex Thick Cushion Running Crew Socks are unisex and can be safely washed in both cold and warm water with like colors. Thorlo is an American company and every level of production, from design to manufacturing, is done out of their facilities in North Carolina.
